We periodically survey our guests and catalog requesters for their vacation interests and related travel patterns. We encourage you to complete these surveys because: a) they provide us with information that helps us improve the types of trips we offer; and b) they help us direct specific ABC messages to you that you may find most interesting. Your participation in these surveys is always voluntary.

Name, Address, Contact, Survey and Billing Information

We agree to:

  • Honor guests’ requests not to share their contact information with other marketers
  • Honor guests’ requests not to receive mail, telephone or other solicitations from Backroads
  • We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities, such as information processing, fulfilling guest orders, lead generation, providing pre/post and on-trip services, managing and enhancing guests’ data and conducting guest research or satisfaction surveys. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. We may also combine the personal information you provide with other personal information available from other sources. This information will then be used to enhance and personalize your shopping experience, and to make our marketing efforts more efficient. ABC does not sell your personal information to third parties.
  • ABC ensures 3rd Party contracts contains proper controls for: anonymize and encryption of personal data, breach detection, and deletion of personal data at the end of contract term.

Access to Information

You have the right to request access to the information we have on you. You can do this by contacting us at jbuell@adventurebasecamps.com. We will make sure to provide you with a copy of the data we process about you. In order to comply with your request, we may ask you to verify your identity. We will fulfill your request by sending your copy electronically, unless the request expressly specifies a different method.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information ABC Collects

Except as otherwise described in this privacy statement, ABC will not disclose personal information to any third party unless we believe that disclosure is necessary:

  • To conform to legal requirements or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legal process received by ABC, whether or not a response is required by applicable law
  • To enforce the ABC Terms of Service Agreement or to protect our rights
  • To protect the safety of members of the public and users of the service.

ABC reserves the right to transfer personal information to a successor in interest that acquires rights to that information as a result of the sale of Backroads or substantially all of its assets to that successor in interest. Information Correction and Deletion
